| Saturday, September 9th 2017 | 2:00pm-5:0opm |

| cost: $25.oo pre-registration, $30.00day of |

About the workshop:

Mudras (seals) can give a fuller expression to your intention or amplify your dedication to a pose or practice. Often employed in meditation and pranayama (breathing) exercises, mudras are appropriate in yoga wherever we want to direct our thoughtful attention and energy for a particular focus. Come explore some basic hand mudras and their significance through pranayama, asana and meditation. This 3-hour workshop is appropriate for all levels.

(3 hours of Continuing Education through Yoga Alliance is available for teachers.)

About the teacher:

After practicing consistently for 20 years, LeAnne Carrouth decided to take the plunge and certify to teach through the Pranava 200-hour teacher training. She is delighted and honored to bring yoga’s many benefits to all practitioners. Her joyful compassion and down-to-earth sense of humor bring perspective to the practice.

LeAnne writes and directs videos with her husband John Bourbonais and enjoys her unusual family, reading, theater and film, as well as cooking and the New York Times crossword puzzle. (yep, super-nerdy!) She is grateful to yoga for the gifts that it has bestowed and to the lineage (however circuitous) that brought the teaching to her.

6 week Prenatal Series:

with Lesley Gilbert

| Starts on, August 29th 2017 and runs for 6 weeks | 6:00pm | cost: 6 week series for $60.00, Drop in: $12.00 |

About the workshop:

Prepare yourself for labor!

Honor yourself and your pregnancy by taking care of yourself. Pre-natal yoga is a great tool to use to support you during the changes that pregnancy brings. Whether it is physical aches and pains, hormonal changes, or fears of labor/the unknown.

You will feel better emotionally, physically and mentally as you get physically prepare your body for labor, identify and let go of emotional blocks AND you will connect with other pregnant mamas. It’s always great to hear other women’s stories and experiences because it reminds us we are not alone!

About the Teacher:

Taught by Lesley Gilbert, Pregnancy & Postpartum Health Coach (certified yoga instructor and women’s health herbalist).  As a mother of two, you’ll get real talk about pregnancy and labor. Lesley creates a safe and inclusive atmosphere where women can openly share how they are feeling and what they are experiencing.

“I took Lesley’s prenatal yoga class when I was pregnant with my second daughter. I had just had a tough move from out of state and was at a difficult spot in my pregnancy. I had finally been cleared for some gentle exercise and I quickly found a yoga class. Lesley’s class was just what I needed. I always left feeling calmer, more relaxed, while also feeling stronger and empowered. I felt part of a community. I felt listened to. It was a nice warm hug after a really tough couple of months and exactly what this mama needed.

I was really impressed with how she built community so quickly in a short class, everyone felt heard and welcomed. She remembered where women were at in their pregnancy and what they needed. She provided comfort and realness. She was also honest and real about her own family, parenting, pregnancies, and breastfeeding. Though, never in an “I know more” or “this is the way” discussion, more of a humorous, safe, brave vulnerability that made first-time and second or even third-time mamas feel included and heard.
I tried her tea at the end of every class and was always pleasantly surprised (I’m not a big fan of pregnancy teas and was surprised when I honestly liked hers). Lesley also would use herbs and aromatherapy at the end of class and I always enjoyed this part. She always seemed to accurately measure the mood of the room and just what we all needed. She truly is a barometer of pregnant mamas!

Finally, she was an amazing resource. She was quick and ready to share tips, resources, groups, and anything else that would help mamas with their journey.

I feel very blessed that I walked into her class.” – Corrie Carpenter
